Type Locality and Naming

Along the village of Iski-Naukat, Fergana. A.V. Sochava, 1965 (434, p.24). The stratotype is not specified.

Synonym: Iskinaukat Suite, Искинаукатская св., Previously called the Naukat suite


Lithology and Thickness

White, pink dolomites, marls, limestones with layers of gray, bluish-gray, and red clays. Thickness 14-30m.

Relationships and Distribution

Lower contact

Lies conformably on the Aravan Fm

Upper contact

It is conformably overlain by the Apshir Fm

Regional extent

Naukat and Karavan-Kokjar depressions, South-East Fergana. S.N. Simakov correlated it with the lower part of the Muyun (Guzan) Fm of Fergana and attributed it to the Cenomanian. It is considered as the lower sub-suite of the Lyakan Fm (416).
